I wish I had read the books because I can only relate to the movies. I know the books are allways better than the movies.

That is not true. The fifth Harry Potter movie is better than the book it is based on.

There are numerous movies that are better than the books they are based on.

Setting that aside, read the Potter books that are a lot of fun and are easy reads.

I think I would have explained Snape's memory and the prophecy better and maybe added a scene at St Mungo's.
That would have made the movie only like ten minutes longer, so I don't see why it couldn't be done.
Even so, I must agree with you that the OOTP was better as a movie than as a book.
