Can anyone tell me about Gina Gershon's role in this please? Not anything important (no spoilers), but something about her role and how much her character is in it?

Maybe about 20, 30 minutes total, if that? She plays Mookie's (Justin Long's character) mother. She does sing for little bit in it too, and Mookie makes a remark about her being "the next Joan Jett, or something." I can't remember much more, because it's been months since I saw it, but it's definitely a great film. I hope that helped.

I know it probably doesn't matter anymore since you wrote this a long time ago, but one interesting thing about it...although she has a very small part in the movie, and hardly any speaking, she does sing a song and in the credits at the end it said the song was written and performed by her. So that could explain the small part, maybe she just wanted to sing one of her songs in it.
