was there a lot of action in this movie? Also was the special effects like the explosions cheesy looking or did it look good.

reply

Yir i am also interresting about how the effects was in this movie!!!! i Hope they were better than the very bad effects and bat movie Unstoppable(Nine Lives)...

reply

someone already saw this movie? can you tell us something about it?

reply

i just saw it n it was pretty good. really nice effects among other things. this is my first ever comment on this site so i if say sumtin wrong forgive me ok. this movie is a movie i would call one on snipes' best, even though other critics might thing not. his co-star that tamzin chick from the british show 'east enders' did pretty good being her first major role. she was smart, funny and acted like a proper british. she called snipes a 'wanker' lol. i recommend all to go c this. mind the r-rating though.

What kind of action was in this film? Was it more martial arts type action or was it action with guns?

reply

Saw this a few days ago and was very impressed by the opening, a very twisty turny ride. There were a few boring bits that could have been avoided but they were by far eclipsed by the rest of the film and the action, it's guns, gangsters, great plot and...

...art dealers!
There's is a "9 lives" thing with this movie but this time it's not a hunky actor, it's a car that gets smashed in more than athe proverbial porn star!
>You should see this film.<

Sorry to lower the tone, but is there any nudity from the very sexy Tamzin in this flick?

. There is plenty of good Snipes fighting action, and the body count gets very high. Apart from Snipes, the production values for the rest of the action scenes is pretty much non-existant. Even the gunshot wounds looked fake. To each his own, but I sure want some of whatever tramain17 was smoking when he watched the movie.

. The action is about evenly split between guns and martial arts.

. The plot twists are well done, subtle, and suspenseful.

. The best scenes in the movie were the ones with just Snipes and Outhwaite talking. They had some great lines. Tamzin's presense onscreen was very impressive (first time I've seen her). She seems to be a tall woman, but I think casting her as a military MP is stretching it. She would kick Sarah Michelle Geller's a** blindfolded (Snipes co-star in Blade:Trinity), but she is no Jennifer Garner, or even Milla Jovovich.

. Tamzin doesn't get naked. Very little nudity at all in fact. If not for some of the more graphic violence, this film might have squeezed by with a PG-13 with some creative editing in the US.

I am a big Snipes fan, so I enjoyed it. If not for Snipes though, I'd want the two hours of my life I spent watching this movie back.

What? Jessica Biel you mean?

reply

unrealistic filming and an awfull array of special effects. I wouldn't have believed snipes capable of acting in such a poor production.

too bad.

Word? What word?

Anyone who can co-star in a film wearing nothing more then hospital bandages (Fith Element) is tough in my book...or insane, same thing I guess :-) but she does perform allot of her own stunts unlike munch kin Gellar.

On a separate note the special effects where very good in this film I really can’t see why this didn’t get a theatrical release. This film is far superior than most films we see in theatres today especially anything staring Rob Schneider.

Simon Fellows is a good director and has churned out a fine piece of work.

You can’t hypnotise me I’m British!

Pretty fun film I got this movie when I bought my psp.And flim was pretty good for striaght to video.
Wes needs a bigger budget film really this low calibre. But this flim was fun overall. The euro scence were nice background instead of the US or Canada.
Anyone who wants to see it for fun go ahead.

I agree. This kind of reminded me of some '80s action flick, but just not as much action. To be honest, at the beginning it reminded me of Oceans Eleven, cause the only part of that movie I saw was the casino heist.

Anyways, I can't say I'm a Snipes fan, but I can say I don't hate him or anything. Just the only other 2 movies of his that I've seen, besides 7 Seconds, are Murder on Penn Avenue and Demolition Man. If it was some other guy besides Snipes in this film I can still say that I probably would have liked it just as much.

This movie probably would have done just as good as other average movies in the theatre with the right advertising. But that's coming from me and I'm no market analist.

i agree with you. today i saw 7 seconds, too and what can i say? the director simon fellows did a good job and castel studios, too. i liked their style and work. the locations in rumania, bucharest looked really good, i didn´t expect that. the movie is fast and had not much special effects, so this helped the movie not look like a real low budget b-movie like jc van damme´s derailed or some steven seagal last *beep* films altough they had maybe more budget but they had bad producer. they did the stunts (much car chasings and gunplay in the movie) and fights (short ones with -blade- like techno music in the back) like they did them in jcvd´s wake of death with the same stunt crew and this helped van damme movie to look like theaters film and not like dtv *beep* the same happned on 7 seconds. the end is a surprise whic i liked cause i didn´t expect. the intro i got a bit the feeling to watch a movie like the italien job. cool.

wesley was cool, nothing special but good as we know him. 7 seconds is a good action movie that maybe would deserve at least a limited us theaters release. this movie will be definitely successful in rentals.

I know I'm in the minority, but I liked this movie.

Granted I watched it while I was working from home late at night, but it wasn't a bad way to pass the time while fixing computer programs.

reply

I saw most of it and co-sign the others in saying it was pretty decent.
