Tamzin Outhwaite playing Kelly Anders is made to use two (at least) Americanisms:
Her future rank - lieutenant - should be pronounced "lef-tenant" in English whereas she says "loo-tenant" "Mercan" style.
She also refers to "ass" whereas in English the word is "arse"
Deobia Oparei playing Spanky has his language Americanised too.
Shame, it would also have been better to have more realistic actors.
thats coz when english ppl go to act in america they have to have elocution lessons, coz we dont pronounce words politically correct like americans, they cant understand the english with some of our strong accents especially east londoners and scousers, geordies, and ppl from bolton

The enunciation of Van Goth was horrible!
Its that man again!!
Its worse than just that; she is a sergeant talking about being promoted to lieutenant; that is not the next rank; to be made a lieutenant she would have to go through officer training... I'm guessing the writers had watched too many US cop shows and copied their rank structure!
