Ok,
The BM is actually a hermaphrodite and really Rusty's (and the Monarch's) mother. Someone mentioned that when the BM died, Jonas was beside himself in grief. Plus, Dr. Z's comments about sleeping with the BM.

I don't think Dr Z encountered the real BM. I think it was a shapeshifter (Sovereign?) posing as him to thieve and frame. We saw BM's naked backside next to Jonas. They swung together. This isn't Scooby Doo. There are powers involved.

That seems even more unlikely than Blue Morpho having a vagina. Why would the sovereign frame someone who had a reputation of not playing by the rules?
