shareHi there!
If you liked this series you could try those...
- Jane Eyre 2006 - by the same screenplay writer as N&S
- Persuasion 2007 - music also by Martin Phipps
- Death comes to Pemberley 2013 - with the very talented Anna Maxwell Martin (Bessie in N&S) as Elizabeth
- Wives and Daughters 1999 - another adaptation of an Elizabeth Gaskell novel
... though I'm afraid all of them may be rather obvious choices.
Hi!
As well as the ones that Birds as mentioned, another one by the same screenwriter, Sandy Welch is:
Emma (2009)
Of course there is the obvious one of Pride and Prejudice (1995)
Also Sense and Sensibility (The series from 2008 and the movie from 1995).
Let me add, "Far from the Madding Crowd" (2015) as well.
shareI'm partial to an olden golden epic romance from the seventies, "Ryan's Daughter". Gorgeous scenery, beautiful music, excellent story.
shareOh, and then there is this one - a Brit mini series - one you rarely hear about. One of my all time favourites:

These are some intriguing suggestions Alfa.
shareDoes it have a great ending like North and South?

I was interested in the one Alfa was talking about: Body and Soul. I don't like depressing sad endings.

Little Dorrit! It's my 2nd favorite after this movie. I also love "Our Mutual Friend." In fact, I haven't watched that one in a while; I need to watch it again! Then there's Anne of Green Gables. Some honorable mentions are Lorna Doone, Cranford, Under the Greenwood Tree, The Inheritance, An Old Fashioned Christmas, and Lark Rise to Candleford (it's not my favorite, but is generally entertaining). I agree with "Far from the Madding Crowd."
