was this or was this not an anime? it's a French cartoon, but the animation style resembles a lot of the days anime series. I loved this show when I was a kid and im rediscovering it now through the internet.

You can consider it anime, but since it was made in France, it's more considered French animation. Anime is basically Japanese animation.
