Question

I like this show, but I wonder if any of the parents of the young soldiers who died in mysterious circumstances in Deepcut Barracks have ever seen this show, and seen how brutally some of the lads are treated, and wondered how the so-called superiors treated their children. The show's sadistic brutality is probably watered-down because of the TV cameras. I'm just a bit surprised when the media reports with such shock and horror the levels of bullying in the army. They are being trained to kill people. It's a violent place.

I just watched the first episode here in my country, and was quite surprised that the Corporals were allowed to touch the recruits.

They were subduing that Brown fellow.

You have to remember that this is based on Military Training from the Second World War, or there abouts, I can't remember the exact year they say, but things were different there, which is kind of the point of the show.
