DVD is Complete and Utter Garbage... any fix?

The Avatar: The Last Airbender DVD is harder to watch than M. Night Shyamalan's travesty, due to how few f--ks nickelodeon gives to its fans. There's no blu ray version at all, with no comment on the possibility one way or another, then they release a DVD that has weird ghosting effects that are just unacceptable. If I watch Samurai Jack on VLC Media player there are settings I can use that will prevent it from looking like crap, nothing I do works for TLA - now I have non-linear editing software, I'm wondering if anyone knows what I might do to eliminate the problem myself?

I think the problem is interlacing on the DVD releases.
While this isn't the ideal solution to the problem, I'm pretty sure the versions for sale on digital storefronts are 480p instead of 480i, though I really wish Paramount would've remastered the show when it was rereleased on DVD.

Shame. I was hoping someone knew a way I could convert them myself. I can't buy it again, even though I'd love to. It's the greatest show of all time, to me. I have no problem spending money on it. But I already did, I'd like to feel like I got my money's worth the first time, and not have to prefer to watch it on Amazon for "free."

Totally agree, this series deserves a proper HD Blu-ray release.
The DVDs are a disgrace and terrible, unsharp, with artifacts, converting problems and bad compression.
I am sure that they still have the Computer files, a HD rendering of the series would be possible and if not a direct AVC encode to Blu-ray of the untouched SD files would be alot better than what we have now on DVD.
