I miss the work 'Honkey'

I'm white, and really miss the work "Honkey". I wish it would make a comeback. I guess it is racially degrading, but I always found it amusing...I like it much better than "Cracker".

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this movie, but I recently saw the movie, was checking this board, and saw some of the race discussions (light v/s dark skin, black race v/s black culture).

In any case, I just wanted to start a thread on the word "Honkey" to see if anyone knew it's origins and why it is now a seldom-used term.

A term used by black prositutes in the 20's, when the white 'johns' would pull up in their cars and beep their horns..."your HONKY is here"

For the record, I kinda miss it too. Cracker just sounds...unintelligent.

I wonder if anyone can call me Wonderbread....that sounds nice.
