Beautiful:

Romain is a beautiful human being and his story touched me greatly. The ending of this movie is the most heart-wrenchingly, poignant I've seen. Those last three shots, fading from one to the next, moving in closer on his profile against the setting sun; perfection. The characters are whole and real, their relationships are convincingly warm, complex and nuanced. I thought the relationship between Romain and his grandmother was particularly original and moving. Romain's predicament is offered to us with real warmth, modesty and integrity. All the actors are great. Melvil Poupaud's acting is engaging, convincing, faultless from beginning to end Perfect. Beautiful. A true great.
