The Father Got On My Last Nerve

The father gave me the most trouble, however it was a real toss-up. I have a feeling that he spent most of his life as a dedicated stock trader and philanderer with little or no emotional attachment to his family. It is funny to listen to all the lines about therapy, but the entire family is NOTHING but shallow and superficial. It makes you wonder...All of these people had MONEY, EDUCATION, STATUS, and FREEDOM, and look how they screwed it up.
Although I cared little for the characters, I still felt that the film was a first rate effort. It is easier to appreciate a film in which the subjects are likable and easy to empathize with. In this movie, it was clearly not the case.

The film was a good effort but being with these people non-stop for the length of the film was really hard. Maybe there were times when they were quiet, introspective, or even just reading quietly, but mostly the talking constantly drove me nuts.
