Questions

This was on the Sundance channel (or was it IFC) in NYC recently. For some reason, I thought it was a documentary. I stayed with it, fast forwarding through the slow parts, so I may have missed a few things, but I don't think so. It all kind of made sense until the end. I came here in search of answers, and am sort of gratified that everyone else is as mystified as I was.

My overall opinion is: It made sense while she was still in Houston, but when she embezzled the money to fly to NYC, the movie started to turn to s--t. Sure, several aspects of her life in Houston were depressing, but she really should have stayed there.

Please let me know if you have any idea what this movie was about. I got the whole soul searching thing...but...I don't know...please help

When she gets on the elevator to go to the Hellish party at the end of the film, it says 'Heaven' in graffiti over the door. And, when she gets out on the roof it says 'live/evil' on one of the windows. Maybe she was kicked out of 'heaven' and is in Limbo. In any event, this very moody piece of film has stuck with me longer than the usual Bruce Willis/Tom Cruise fluff.

No doubt, the film got away from them. But, I am satisfied with the ride.

Damn! I almost forgot that! That should explain everything. I feel so stupid!

I'm not being sarcastic. I really mean it.

I want to add, after watching it again, that she enters room 501 twice. The 1st time with the meditation session, & the 2nd time with the rave.

I enjoyed the minimalist way in which this was filmed, and theought Cyndi Williams did a great job in this.
However, the ending was far too vague, and I wasn't wrapped up in the character or film enough to want to spend much time figuring out what the whole thing was about.

I didn't get the ending either..Maybe this is one of those films you need to be really stoned on something to watch so you think you actually understood it

believe me, it doesnt help.
