a sad turn for norwegian film

dont make the same mistake i did, dont watch it. 1/10.

reply

u can't seriously mean that?! i loved it! it would deff get 9/10 of me! really really good film to be honest. but u gotta nuderstand what happened at that time u know.

reply

understand what happened at that time?

Seriously, this movie doesn't present anything about the political movement from that time one very bit. It rediculates it. Armed revelution is the only thing "political" this movie presents, and nobody actually thought that everyone was going to be factorial workers. It's just stupid. The politics was about getting rights. Rights to work less, rights to get payed, rights to have something to say, and nonetheless rights to be human.

Education, work for everyone, solidarity and warmth was basic ideology, and had nothing to do with the movie. It's horrible.

You don't have to watch this as a historical film or whatever. I admit that it didn't teach me much about this movement or politics, but it was worth seeing - as an entertaining, funny and then moving film.

reply

I liked it. I think it's worth watching it. So, if someone doesn't like the message, you don't have to kill messenger for others, some other people might actually like it and might understand it, it all depends on which reality are you standing on and on which side are you, so obviously, the people that didn't exactly dig this movie (yeah they hate it) it's because they have never live it or might be against it, because of their political side.

So, let the people judge the film for themselves, let them think for themselves.

To the ones that are still here asking yourselves if you should see it: yes, please, go ahead and watch the movie, let yourself being dared in your thoughts, and then, decide if you like it or not.

How about being more specific, Mr. die2003! Is English too hard - try Norwegian.

Today is a good day to die! Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today.

reply

Hehe im in this movie but no big role though im at the scene when Ane Dahl Torp is coming out of the train.

reply

You are absolutely right. Deserves to be fast forgotten.

reply

i`m not impressed at all i`m afraid, this is just awful. sadly norway never had any film-maker talents even close to those of our neighbors sweden and denmark. they have bergman, sjøstrøm and dreyer, vi got this trash )-:

reply

This is actually one of the worst movies I ever seen. What a bunch of meaninless *beep* and it was completely ridiculous and tried to be original. Really sad.

I agree that Sweden and Denmark kicks Norways ass when it comes to moviemaking, but Bergman is in my opinion as much as overrated as norwegian movies are in Norway:p

reply

I guess we found the communists in this thread. Still clinging to their pathetic Marxist-Leninist existence, as hinted by the ending of this film.
