Two very good japanese movies (I especially liked Turn Over) I saw at festivals.

Sadly I've not seen a DVD with english subtitles of the first one and it seems the soon-to-be-released DVD of the second won't have them either.

Ashita no kioku (or Memories of Tomorrow):
A businessman (played by Ken Watanabe) is diagnosed with the Alzheimer disease

An elderly, very traditional couple has to deal with the woman's multiple sclerosis and gets help from a young student who is training to become a magician

OASIS is a in some ways a very similar story. The woman is palsied, the man is damaged in other ways. Two amazing performances. Much more intense than Jozee.

i would recommend Taiyō no Uta .
the girl in this movie has xp a disease where sunrays are lethal.
it's a little more teenage oriented but really good.
i believe there is also a drama but i've yet to see it.
