Wow...Aaron Spelling

Now, I know Aaron Spelling isn't the most macho of men, but short of a pink poodle and Liberace records playing in the background, I don't think he could have been portrayed any gayer.

Well at least he didn't look like the living dead in the movie as he does in life.

He a very talented guy and had made lost of money, but OMG it looks like he worked hard for it.

I haven't seen the new Dynasty film (and have no real desire to), but Aaron Spelling is played by none other than Nicholas Hammond, the original live-action Spider-Man.
With regards to the way Spelling is played, I haven't seen it but I think I know what the first poster meant - I've noticed this in more than one of his roles.
Joking aside, though, the guy is seriously underrated as an actor and he could turn his hand to whatever he wants. He just needs a good role to get his teeth into. Maybe he just wasn't taken seriously after playing the wall-crawler.

Whatever the reason, Hammond IS Peter Parker. Maguire looked more like Parker in the comics, but there was more energy in Hammond's performance. As far as his performance as Spiderman goes, I can't really comment as I've read he was hardly ever in the suit.

I think this movie is kind of cultish, when you look at it from a "DYNASTY" fan´s perspective. Who knew they would actually make a movie like this - 16 years after the show ended. "Twin Peaks" and then the "X-files" ended the glamourous days of "Dynasty" style television and brought a thrilling and inventive horror feeling to television.

You could say many things about this TV movie made about "Dynasty" - it´s kind of trashy - but tongue in cheek for sure - and I still find it entertaining. I actually think that the BEST thing about that entire movie was the great and always funny actress PAMELA REED, whose work I have loved for years. She is one of the funniest actresses in Hollywood. She didn´t look anything like the real Esther Shapiro, whom she played in the film - but the fact that she was in it, hightened the whole experience of watching it. The woman playing Linda Evans was like a cartoon figure - the actor playing John Forsythe - didn´t look or sound like him at all. Alice Krige who played JOAN COLLINS was fun - but nothing like the REAL JOAN. Joan Collins is not like that in real life - so Alice Krige played it a lot like French & Saunders´ parody of Joan Collins. Joan Collins is a very funny and cartoonish actress already, but far less cold as portrayed here, and everytime someone has to play Joan Collins on TV or somewhere - they always look horrible compared to the real JC. Joan is without a doubt one of the world´s most beautiful women - and she should have won an Oscar for her great performance in the 1993 movie "Decadence". They always find older women who look like worn-out street-walkers to play Joan Collins. As good an actress as Alice Krige may be, I could think of other actresses who would look more beautiful like Joan.

Pamela Reed rocks though. Next time put Pamela and the real Joan together in a film.
