Question about this movie..
So why didn`t he get the scolarship or whatever... HE thought he didn`t get it because of discriminated .. but what was the real reason? And why did heget mad because of that..

He didn't get it because the faculty thought another student deserved it more than him. He appealed to an administrator to look into it but the end conclusion was they still felt the other student deserved it more. He also felt insulted because they weren't as impressed with his dissertation as he would've hoped. He was mad because he already felt he didn't fit in in a mostly white town in Iowa and he lost his scholarship to a fellow Chinese grad student. And clearly he wad disturbed.

Exactly. Basically, Liu Xing went apes*it after not getting the scholarship and consequently went on a shooting spree.
