The Sundance Film Festival

I'd just heard that the film was accepted to the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. Can anyone confirm this? How do I get tickets to a screening?

reply

It's been confirmed. Go to Sundance.org for more information, good luck getting tickets, it'll be tuff this year.

I have a small part in the film so I'm wondering if I can maybe fenagle them them from the production company or something.

I don't even know if fenagle is a word, but it seems to fit in the context since I don't know how I'll be getting the tickets.

Thanks for your help.

That's awesome! I think you should definately talk to the production company or whoever will be in charge of getting the entrouge tickets (Sorry, I don't know much about that). If that fails and you live in Utah, you can try to get tickets when they go on sale for the locals. If you can't get tickets that way you can try the waiting list lines. You can also try registering for the national sales. Good luck, hope you get in! I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have!

I'm excited for this one too ... show up two hours prior to the screening .. usually you should not have a problem with getting a ticket. It also depends on which venue you view it at. PC is a lot harder to get in ... as opposed to SLC.

I am in this film also .. plus I work with SFF. I've gotta be at the premiere!! Good luck!

I also had a small part in the film...I want to try to get tickets so if you have any luck would you mind letting me know?

Thanks!!

I've had no luck. From what I understand, Sundance is more of a "let's try to sell the film" experience rather than a premiere. I spoke with Jeff Johnson about getting tickets and he said that the director only gets like 3 tickets to give to who he wants.

I'm going to keep trying but I will probably end up just waiting until the movie is in theatres.

I'll let you know if I hear anything from the production side.

So....did anyone get lucky!

haha...Don't hate me, but I gave up. I don't have time or energy to try to force my way into something that i don't really belong in anyway. it's like trying to wrestle a group of people to look at a mirror. I'll wait my turn to see it in the theatre when it comes out.

I'm working on a couple of independant projects right now and looking at the possibility of performing at the HBO Aspen Comedy and Arts Festival so I've put it on the backburner.

Thank you all so much for your help and I hope everyone likes the movie! Meryl's touch turns everything to gold so I'm not worried. :-)
