Even Maggie Smith couldn't save this turkey!

I have claimed that Maggie Smith could gain an audience by merely reading a telephone book! That Maggie Smith is gold! That Maggie Smith makes every project bankable!

Boy; was I wrong!!!

Even Dame Maggie could not save this turkey. Her lines sounded "breathless" as if she was working at high altitude and needed an inhaler to clear the congestion.

The costumes, houses, and furnishings were fabulous. But, the story was so thin and the "acting" was so inadequate . . . . . . . one would be better off taking a slow stroll through a good museum!
