Ok i am not gona lie this felt like a poor version of a Robert Rodriguez genre movie but i still felt quite satisfied. I mean the movie has no message or anything but def enjoyable flick to watch on a friday afternoon.
Think globally, act locally, is one message. Inexplicably, some of the best shots are relegated to the trailer. As usual, the DVD commentary track sheds more light on all the hard work here.

Wait--who are you agreeing with? No one here slammed it the way you just did.
It's not groundbreaking, but it is infinitely more enjoyable than a lot of movies I've watched, and I loved the interplay between the two actresses. They, surprisingly, make a great team. If this had been two male leads, it would have been a more successful "buddy" film, probably. It was in no way a "chick flick."
[Gods, if only I could punch the person who came up with that term.]
I just saw the trailer, and it doesn't even feel like a REAL western. It looks like two women in costumes, trying to be western bandits, rather than actually looking the part, if that makes sense?
The problem with people on IMDb is, they tend to rate movies "versus the bests." Like, they compare Bandidas to The Godfather, or Not Another Teen Movie to The Dark Knight, etc.

I don't listen to or heed critic's rants. I watch for enjoyment. This was a good movie for me. I don't look for messages in movies or the politics. I laughed all the way through it and had fun. The way it is supposed to be. And thankfully it didn't have the sick humor some people find so entertaining now days.
