anyone else think nick is more riskayy than disney?

I do.

Me: Nick, you're so cute.
Joe: He doesn't get that a lot.
Nick: Shut up, Joe.

reply

riskayy?

it's risque.

reply

i do too. they say more teenager oriented things... i think its because they have a teen nick and stuff. disney has playhouse disney and regular disney and toon disney. so they cant really say more teenager oriented things but in some suite life episodes they do.

reply

I don't. Disney shows are family shows, so it needs to be age appropriate. The shows on TEENick (Unfabulous, Zoey 101, iCarly, etc.) are aimed at a teen audience, so if it's "risque" for 5 year olds, then there's nothing wrong with the show.

I wouldn't say it's risque, but it's less geared toward moral lessons, like Disney, and more toward entertainment, so I know what you mean.

reply

it's definitely more realistic

I think they're about the same. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is overboard though. Then there's Drake and Josh, but the guys are like in their twenties...so i guess it's not that bad. Even if it's TeeNick, little kids still watch it cause they watch it too when sponge bob isn't on. Even spongebob can be a bit nasty from the last time i saw it. Oh and fairly odd parents.

i just know that on zoey 101 they said "sexy" a couple of times, and i know disney would think long and hard about saying sexy on Hannah Montana.

reply

on zoey 101 everyone laughed at the word 'breast'.and they're always making out.And drake and josh is really for older viewers..

reply

maybe more risqué than disney channel shows.. however if you want to get into the subject of old school disney movies.. lets just say the writers for disney were a bunch of dirty old perverts.. which is what makes the movies so enjoyable ;)

reply

Well I think Nick is projected towards an older crowd (teens) and is also more realistic than Disney.

I mean Fabulous/iCarly/Drake & Josh can really happen.

Yeah. Um... I had an adrenaline rush. It's very common. You can Google it.

I don't think so!

I'd generally say Disney is more wholesome, has moral lessons, and tries not to offend anyone. Nickelodeon is more about keeping kids entertained.

I don't know if I'd say it's risque, but they have a few more mild innuendos, and say words like "sexy" and "Oh my God" (Disney replaces it with "Gosh" so that they don't offend Christian parents.)

I'd say that Nick shows are appropriate for the 8+ age group though.
