How Self Centered Are These People?

Really, why is it no one notices that he's cheating? He leaves the theater box right after her. He's taking mysterious phone calls. Seen in parts of town he shouldn't. Moody, bored, distracted.

His wife has her suspicions, she even vocalizes it at one point in the movie. If you notice, Chris' character possesses the same bored, distracted characteristics the entire film - so it doesn't stand out to me.
That coupled with the fact that trusting people tend to be, trusting.
I found the wealthy characters in the movie generous and trusting when with that amount of wealth it would be easy to write them as self centered.

I thought Woody treated the Hewitts very sympathetically, didn't make them 'nasty rich people' at all. They're welcoming and kind, and very loving to one another. Eleanor's criticisms of Nola seem pretty normal actually, something a future mother-in-law could say to her son's fiancée.

"I am always happy to engage in POLITE discourse."

More like self absorbed! Chloe has baby on the brain, but I think it's just so she has something new to show off and clueless to the fact of an affair. Mummy wants another grandchild, and father is busy sponsoring a gallery. And what about brother Tom? Forgot about what he does..anything?
This is how you behave when you have money...
