Movie Should Have Said Nola Was Not Pregnant

I'm assuming she wasn't pregnant but was lying about it to force the issue with Chris (make him tell his wife he's in love with someone else).

Perhaps during the the conversation between the two police officers at the end, one of them should have said "Now, if perhaps the autopsy had shown she was pregnant that would have been a huge motive...".

That would have made the police shelving Chris' suspected involvement and thus writing the whole thing off as a crime involving drugs easier to believe.
