When I saw this DVD at Best Buy, I was hesitant to buy it because I have been burned by the schlock the Syfy channel churns out every week then slaps a cool cover on the DVD. But I was surprised to find out this was a Russian made film (I quickly switched from the dubbed version to the original Russian language track... I hate dubbed movies) and I was really impressed by this film. As good as Lord of the Rings? No definitely not, but it really had a lot going for it. Action, Adventure, Comedy and Romance. I liked it a lot.

If given the choice to be the shepherd or the sheep... be the wolf.

I liked it too, i hope the sequels to be as good as this one or even better.

Its a big movie from a big country :)

8/10 stars from me.

Yeah, the directing is a bit hasty at times, but I loved the atmosphere and the sets. Saw it first on TV and had to get the DVD too.
