I've bought the German 3D Blu-Ray and it is a shoddy 3D conversion. Little to no depth and zero pop. It is similar to watching a 2D source converted to 3D by a TV's own 3D conversion. The only convincing 3D is on the menu.
shareIn 2D the Blu-Ray is an upgrade to the DVD. It has better colour, detail, sharper image and far less if not no colour bleeding but it is not outstanding. Looks slightly soft and murky.
Unless you are a big fan of the film and and a HD snob (a bit like me), then I wouldn't recommend going for it if you already own the DVD. Especially if you have decent player that upscales really well.
