LOVED THE FLYING FOX

The flying fox has to be ranked as the cutest/coolest pet EVER! I´ve seen so many canids/felins/horses/birds of prey but this was the FIRST time I saw a BAT as a pet ( and the enclosed bats in the batcave doesn´t count because they only "stay" there ), and Wolfhound was a real badass, even the cutest giant bat gave him a more badass image!

What a lovely creature, wonder how they managed to "train" such an animal to behave like that ( in second toughts bats do behave like baby-birds when caught in hands, I caught quite a few with my bare hands ( in Portugal they tend to fly inside houses in summer nights through open windows ) and they are really sweet creatures...this is, when i GOT to catch them. Flying foxes are daylight bats, maybe this contributes for such a calm behaviour?

I wondered at the training as well. Then again, they're mammals, and their behaviour is fairly well known, so it shouldn't be too tricky... But then why do we hardly ever see trained pet-bats in movies? Is it because some people are irked/repulsed by bats?
I thought the bat was one of the best parts in this movie. So cute and lovable! and clever, too! the perfect side-kick.

"Sometimes I'm callous and strange."
