good, but could have been better

i loved narang's interview when i read it on rediff.com, esp the bit about silence having been used to good effect.. but i couldn't figure out the gunshot noises from time to time (e.g. they clink their glasses and we hear a gunshot instead of the clink). i did think though that he's done a better job than most.

in the scare factor ratings i'd rate this probably higher than Bhoot but in terms of direction/ credibility (esp in light of the way this movie ended) i'd rate bhoot higher. the intangibility (for the most part) in Bhoot was the clincher. EVEN i didn't stay too scared after the Attack of the Zombies. and that's saying a lot.

great performances though i thought, esp by sushmita, the kid and the bai. yudi was a bit stilted though must say his role really didn't give him scope to show too much acting skill.

the ending just screwed it up. it was like Evil Dead meets Khooni Rakshas (no i haven't heard of a movie called Khooni Rakshas but if there was i'm betting it'd be like that)

i guess narang needs more experience, is all. he'll probably grow into a great director instead of just a good one. inventive, i thought, but needs to earn his stripes still.

I viewed clips from the film and i though it was good. The end definitely spoiled the whole movie. He seem to take elements from "The others" and "Grudge". But it was good until the end. I bet he really faced a big dilemma on how to end the movie. Hope he makes a better movie next time, i know he can.

this contributes to less than a handful of hindi horror movies i have watched so far...and i think it is really quite good. it has the element of a horror movie - it has the creepy feeling, the eerie feeling (that makes you think, "oh this is so predictable" and yet you want to see)...the child actor is really, really good...with his vocal and facial expresssions...but the ending is something else to be desired for. it kept me in my seat until the last few minutes.

What do you mean take elements from the others and the grudge? There is no resemblance of any of these movies. By the way the Grudge and this movie was released on the same date October 22, 2004. How the hell can this be a copy, idiot? Ram Gopal Verma's movies are so original and good that after watching it you would like to imply that it was a copy of some hollywood movie. Are you kidding me? He is beyond hollywood and out of the box thinking directors, that's why u are jealous. Watch his movies bhoot, darna mana hai and darna zaroori hai...then you would realize how good he is. By the way your argument is flawed. There is no relation to either the story, scenes or the caracters. Try a better argument next time.
