is this a remake? or it simply lacks originality?

a blinded woman who, after recovering, started to see visions from the donor's cornea. the exactly same story as THE EYE.

It could probably be considered the English remake of it.

I hate despret Housewives, so I will never see this film. But judging by the description, it sounds like it's a remake of an 80's movie called BODY PARTS. He is in an accident and loses his arm, but a seriel killer is killed and his parts are put onto people, and they cant controll there body parts 'cause it's possesed, or something.

This sounds likes it's a remake, but instead of a male lead, it's a female.

Body Parts probably wasnt the original concept of the idea either, and I know I saw the Simpsons parody something simmiler. It's definitly not an original idea.

yeah it sounds like a remake of the hong kong movie THE EYE...

Yeah, seem to me as well pretty much... Have you guys noticed that more and more asian movies are being remade by Hollywood?

Funny... I came to this board to say the same thing. And I'm one of those people that gets really tired of everyone yelling "RIPOFF!!" at every board I go to. But this is just WAY to close. It's not the official remake of The Eye (fortunately, because it looks pretty terrible), but it could be.

Signatures suck.

The Eye wasn't the first time that a similar concept was used. Check out the third segment of the 1993 anthology movie Body Bags:

I'm not saying that the makers of The Eye ripped off the segment, unconnected people can have the same idea.
