The man was so fat he could barely make it up the ladders in the submarine.
They only showed him in close-up during the fight scenes and never actually showed him kicking anybody. I guess they took a page from Apocalypse Now (Marlon Brando showed up for filming drunk and about two hundred pounds overweight) since they seemed to shoot Seagal almost entirely in shadow and always from low angles.
Hilarious, but slightly disturbing.
Notice the scene where he's in the back of the cab...they couldn't shoot from a high angle so you can see his double chin!!!!
Ahahahahahah...gold!

He still looked fairly trim in his brief scenes in Executive Decision.
But after that?
I noticed that in the Opera box seat scenes, if Seagal was any more in theshadows, we would have only seen the tip of his nose. It reminded me of kids playing in the dark with flash lights under their chins trying to scare each other. I was wondering what the heck he was doing back there and if it was part of some grand plan. Nope, he was just trying to avoid looking ginormous compared to the other actors.

He got fat in germany. I saw him there in a restaurant, with - seriously 6 Bodyguards - Funny thing is: Nobody in Berlin cares about famous actors comming to town, Nobody would have bothered Segal, but the fat man had to show up with all his buddys.
