sorry people but this director anthony hickox should never be allowed on a film set ever again, unless its to be in charge of craft service.how he can get financing is mind boggleing.

Sorry but Waxwork is an underated gem. One of the best horror comedies of the 80's. So to say he has only done garbage is quite incorrect. That's just most of what he has done.

even hellraiser 3 has a scene (the girl running from the cenobists in the streets of new york) that his memorable in horror gengre
i think that maybe combining horror with Seagal action style could result in something diferent AND interest

I agree with you he is a good director and has made sum good films I hope that this one turns out good . There is to much puting down on this film as it sounds good to me and I for one will want to see it along with a lot of other people I think ?.

He also gave us a nice change of pace with his fun vampire-western flick- Sundown...great collection of B-movie actors...David Carradine as Dracula...Bruce Campbell as a nerdy vampire hunter...Deborah Foreman(need I say more)...

We have to understand that this director has to work with a bugdet that others have for the 2nd star of the movie alone! I think Anthony Hickox is one of the few directors in b movies who makes a trully entertaining movie out of very tight budgets. I was amazed by 2 movies of his that nobody mentioned. "Last Run" and "storm catcher". Great fun without showing lame.

I have only seen Storm Catcher by him which was awful, but I won't give him the blame as it was for Phoenician Entertainment who work with miniscule budgets in very tight schedules and apparently even he didn't like the end results of it and even suggested it would be be good for MST3K on the the commentary so I won't blame him for it and won't judge him until I see one in which he has better resources to work with.

Anthony Hickox is very good director. Waxwork, hellraiser III, Submerged, prince valient.. were great! and blast, storm catcher, federal protection were good too...ehh..

There really is no accounting for Intelligence or taste. I have a friend that worked on Waxwork I, Sundown, Hellraiser III, Warlock II and Invasion of Privacy. His opinion on Hickox's Work is dismal. He can not believe he can still get funding.
