Young Lucinda - bad casting!!

I don't know if anyone else noticed. But the girl who played young Lucinda was suppose to be 6 1/2 years old. Um helllooooo! She looked 15! And why? Because that's how old she is!!!! They couldn't cast a 6 year old to play the part? I don't know..it just bothered me alot. Other than that, and the fact that I didn't realize Simon and Jared were suppose to be twins, it was good. I knew Freddie Highmore played both parts, but I never read the book, and Simon seemed younger than Jared.

Yeah, at the time I thought her voice/behavior was quite oddly childish, and was was shocked later when they said she was supposed to be 6 and a half years old. She certainly looked in her mid-teens, and the casting director was smoking something when s/he cast her, and then everyone else was dipping into the same stash when they went along with it.

She looked younger than 15, methinks. But 6 years old? Yeah, that's not believable. In the end, I don't see it as that big of a deal.

The Lucinda you reference is ARTHUR SPIDERWICK’s daughter. Turn off the cell phone. Pay attention. Mallory is his granddaughter, and a completely different character.

I cringe being here.
