In most cases agents negotiate an actor’s deal not the manager. Managers work more one on one with the client. When an audition is called out to an agency the agency takes the appointment and the agency then contacts the manager who then contacts the actor directly. The manager usually knows the actors schedule better and will then let you know if there are any conflicts. When you really want to get into specifics the agency will usually have you contact the manager.
