Can any one help clear this up? (SPOILER?)

There's something I don't understand in the storyline of the Third age. This is what i understand (Or at least I think I understand!)

The game sarts with Berethor riding north to find Boromir, on Denethor's command. But we're then told that Saruman 'cursed' Berethor, bringing him under the white wizard's control. He was to find Boromir, take the ring, and bring it to Saruman. But by defeating the Uruk's at Helm's Deep, he freed himself from Saruman's influence(With me so far?)

Later, Eoaden then reveals that Berethor fled during a battle in Osgiliath, and was therefore banished by the steward. So he was never sent north by the Steward in the first place (Right?)On the island in the city, Berethor dislodges a part of the Witchking's blade from his chest, freeing himself from the wraiths's power (?)

I only ever got up to the end of the Minas Tirith level, before the game 'deleted itself' (hmm...i've since restarted) So i probably never got to the part where everything was explained. But can anyone tell me whether i've got everything right so far? Or have i got it all wrong?

Denethor sent Berethor to help Boromir get the Ring, but between getting attacked by the Nazgul and Boromir's death, Berethor couldn't complete this mission. This is why Denethor banished him.

Eventually, Berethor is freed from the Nazgul curse at Osigiliath, but you still keep his immunity to their Fear attack.

Then what was that Eoaden/Gandalf said about Berethor being banished for cowerdice in Osigiliath? Denethor was losing it then, so it's possible he did banish him twice. He banished Morwen for marrying/not marrying someone.

Also Berethor was controlled by both Saruman and the Witchking. The Witchking stabbed him in Osgiliath, making him come under the control of the Sauron. So why, (and how exactly) did Saruman get into his head?

I love the story of the Third Age, but bits of it REALLY confuse me! As soon as I think i've understood that bit, something else happens and throws me!

Idrial + Berethor = Yeah!
Morwen + Berethor = Boo!

Correction (my mistake)...

Berethor was banished from Gondor during Borimir's last victory at Osgiliath. Injured, he wandered into Isengard and fell under Saruman's spell. The spell made him believe that he was sent by Denethor to help Borimir get the Ring. But on his way, he is attacked by the Nazgul and cut by one of their blades. Idrial heals the wound, but the damage had already been done. But because he was under Saruman's spell, he didn't turn into a wraith (I suppose). So when he gets to Osgiliath and faces the witch king, he learns the full truth.

So that's it.

But yeah...the story can be confusing I guess.

I sorta think of it as irrelevent (my third time playing it now). So as long as there are missions/quest to be completed, the game works for me.

Problem is, it's WAY too short and the ending is a blower.

The sequal should be longer and move apart from the movies.

I think there should be a sequel. The fourth Age. What could the story be?

The love story is quite funny. At first Idrial likes Berethor and kisses him. When Morwen comes she is jealous of her and thinks she is there to get Berethor. At Helms Deep when Berethor learns about Saruman and all that Idrial did he thinks he and Idrial will be together and this is what makes him save Idrial in Osgiliath. Then he telss her he has feelings for her the she tells him is fate is with Morwen. I mean how stupid, Morwen likes Berethor who doesnt like her but does like Idrial who likes Berethor but thinks he is to be with Morwen even though Berethor wants to be with Idrial.

I think that's supposed to be one of those crappy selfless acts, sacrifice, loss, loving something and letting it go thingys

I got really confused with the love stoy. I felt like throwing the game out the window.

When Berethor helps Morwen find her family, or whatever they do, Idrial gets annoyed and says he doing it cos she's pretty (Probably meaning she's jealous). And then when Berethor says he has feelings for I, she says that he destined for M. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 7th July 2006 You Owe Davy Jones your Soul. That was the agreement. Time's Up!
