ok, im not very good at hindi and my english captions would not work on my vcd...so i dont know much that happened in the movie. Like at the end....i was so lost. what was kali? or how did he fit in the movie? i also missed a lot of the movie because my vcd kept freezing after 15 mins of play...so i had to constantly reset it...very annoying (but no worries, it was borrowed). ok thanks!

No, he wasn't a tourist. He was a tour guide who led one of his groups astray into the jungle and got them killed. The reason was that the animals were dying and he intended to provide food for the tigers in form of the tourists.
They captured him, beat him up and fed him to the tigers as punishment. At least that's how it's explained in the movie. You might not remember it as the first part of the stories is told in the beginning at the river, while the second part is revealed towards the end. However, the whole story is so full of holes and logical mistakes that it really doesn't matter.

shareI beg to differ. Vishal (gun loving hare hunter) got what he deserved - at least if we follow the "guilty of wrongdoings against the jungle" theory here.
But the others? What was their crimes against nature? The driver- repairing a broken car? Sajid- he was innocent..even Kali admitted it. Riya- she was thirsty and tried to drink from the haunted well...hardly a crime against nature! The guard at the entrance of the national park? Is being open to bribery a crime against nature (well, that one is debatable, i gotta admit)
the guide? a goof, but we did not witness a code breaking on his part in the movie.
Kali seemed to be a rather vengeful spirit of wrath and revenge...not a stern but just guardian of nature.
Just my impression.
Movie is about : how ajay devgan can carry a bad movie by his acting. Loved his acting. I wanted to walk out of the movie hall but ajay devgan made me watch it till the end. He is an actor. brilliant "kali".
