Gee, you people really discourage me to be a filmmaker.
I actually thought this was a great movie.
It was directed beautifully, the dialogue was nice and plot was great.
well, if these are the types of movies you want to make... then, GOOD!

Don't be discouraged. You can't please everyone. There will always be someone who complains about something.
If you want to be a filmmaker, go for it.
mrs2458 is right. Follow your vision, surround yourself with enthusiastic hard-working people and do the best you can. Trust your instincts.
I didn't give this a high score because I found the pace draggy and the editing in need of tightening up, but don't ever let someone else's opinion influence you unduly. Try to see a lot of films from all different sources and time periods and get a feel for how they accomplished their stories and what you liked or didn't like about them. Good Luck.

so, please do not be discouraged...
all of us are at different places at different times...
so you only need to be true to yourself.
and that is good enough...
and maybe a little thicker skin, to tolerate people that do not like what you are doing...but it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there in the first place.
