I can forgive all loose ends not being tied up (check out all the questions posed with regard to Mission Impossible 1) but, surely, if you have an organisation that enlists a dying man to assasinate the POTUS, that rents him an apartment in which to live while preparing for the assasination attempt and then has available enough survaillence equipment, operatives and weaponary to wage a small war, they would not leave the apartment intact with all the personal effects (cough medicine, painkillers etc) and then sit outside and just watch it?

There's another one. When the girl sees the C4 rigged to the trailer, wich easily could be disarmed just by unplugging the trigger cord (simply by pulling it out - wich obviously would make the C4 just as harmless as any ball of clay - everybody knows that!), instead of unplugging it on sight decides to run back into the trailer to try and evacuate her mother and they blow up.

I can't believe anyone not living in the stone age could be as ignorant as that girl. It's not like it was an atom bomb or anything, it was simple C4, you know that stuff that looks like clay that they tought us how to make from ordinary household products in the science class at high school.

To-darkeval- You obviously have been watching way too many movies.After reading your post I decided to see just how many ordinary people knew what C4 was and if they knew how to disarm a bomb made of C4...I work at a large government facility, more than 5000 employees, and in my job I have the ability to interact with hundreds of them. Many of them college graduates and all of them high school graduates. I asked many women if they knew what C4 was. None of them knew. I asked them if they knew how to disarm a bomb. Most of them laughed out loud. Some of the men knew what C4 was, mostly ex military. None of them said they would try something so foolish as trying to disarm a bomb.

In the real world people don't recognize C4, and they don't know how to disarm it I doubt very much if you know what it is or how to disarm without blowing yourself up. It was a MOVIE. Get over it. Your rant is embarrassing to normal people. And learn how to spell. This was definitely NOT a plot hole

hey bud - I agree with you that no one in their right mind would understand what c4 is let alone in a panicked moment how to disarm it. With that said - can you explain the end of the movie to me? It totally left me in the dark? Did the First Lady coordinate the assasination? Why...was it b/c she was sleeping w/ the Head of Secret Service or was it b/c she was pissed that the president cheated on her? Totally confusing. I just have to know if there was any security fallout from your walking around a government facility asking folks if they knew what C4 was or how to disarm a bomb...
