Director's Update 2-3-05

The picture is locked, and the final sound mix is finished, complete with music and score. The film is currently in New York where the negative is being cut and assembled. Once the negative is assembled, we will go to New York for color correction and printing, which should take 2-4 weeks. When we have the print, the movie is done. So as of now, it looks like Dee Dee Rutherford will be finished sometime in mid-March.

Once the movie is finished, we will begin to determine film's distribution future. It will be marketed to the studios in Hollywood first, and if a favorable US distribution deal does not materialize, Cinemetro Films (DDR's production company) will distribute the film. The uncertainty inherent in this part of the process means that it will be anywhere from 6 months to a year before Dee Dee Rutherford hits theaters. But it WILL hit theaters in the Chicago area at the very least.
