NOTE this posters statement "seems"..
when queried, he states he has NOT seen the movie, but based his statement on the plot outlines.
I have read both outlines.. they are no-where near the same!
Make sure you read the full outline summaries before making statements! and to be fair, lets SEE the movie!

I said seems to be fair. I do plan to see this because I have not shot it out at all, simply pointing out what my red flag drew to my attention.

Well I have seen this movie and From Dusk to Dawn and during the 'saloon' attack I immediately thought of FDTD.

I have seen both movies, and have to say I immediately thought of 'From Dusk 'til Dawn' when the women in the bar turned to vampires (or zombies or ghosts...whatever they were. The credits list them as vampires, so I suppose that is what they were intended to be).

Turning into vampires with sunset wasn't the only similarity either. 7 Mummies suggested other people had stumbled across the town and become victims. (Look for the Willie Nelson/biker-wannabe in the bar scene) The two survivors escape on his confiscated motorcycle (like the mountain of cars at the end of FDTD). Also like FDTD, Mummies started off with some criminals taking a hostage and attempting an escape to Mexico. FDTD has two criminals taking a family hostage so they can get to Mexico. Same basic ending too: one criminal + one hostage make it out in the end as sunlight saves the day.

The main difference was FDTD was actually worth watching and 7 Mummies wasn't worth the film on which it was printed.
