After John C. Riley's character brought it up on the phone call to Will Ferrell they didn't mention it again. Did I miss something?

You didn't hear the "Get Outtttt..." voice? Major haunted house. Ricky says it's a new home with creaks and groans. I think it was a small nod to Poltergeist. Probably built on an Indian burial ground.
