(SPOILERS BELOW)

When Bobby captures Jaime and puts her in the little "cage" (no locks) the only thing that went through my head was, "Why girls no like me? I build them nice house, I get them nice things, we share good meals, then they run away. Why girls no like me?"

And why does he pick a little girl to obsess over when he had two hot teens to work with instead? Of course, I guess he did keep the blond around for a while.. I guess he's already a freak so adding a little pedophilia into the recipe doesn't really make an impression. Were we supposed to like him for his attempt at saving the child? If so, their relationship was not so well developed.

Secondly, did that family eat anything but salt? Cause they sure had a lot of it.

Lastly, a surprise ending is only good it if makes sense. Suddenly bringing all the monsters back at the end as though nothing happened to them just really doesn't make any sense at all. It's almost like your annoying older brother offering to take you to the football game and then leaving you at the house and then saying something stupid like, "Fooooooled youuuuu!" When really, you were expecting it the whole time. It's not funny, it's really sort of profoundly insipid.

I love that word.. insipid.

I love it, too, and it *was* insipid. Just to be sure I had a right to complain vehemently - I like that one, too - about the ending, I went back and watched - and YES, Mom gets doused with the salt and starts to disintegrate!! You can't have it both ways, Tobe!
