this movie works great as a comedy

and also goes to show that tobe hooper had no idea what he was doing when he made his only masterpiece, the texas chainsaw massacre..that was obviously a fluke, it was good completely by accident
because this guy is an idiot

i mean, that mom didnt think anything was weird when she pulls up to her house and that sinister real estate agent is laughing that evil neverending laugh..she didn't think there was ANYTHING odd about that?
and this movie has almost as many quotables as 'the room'

its that good

You're so right because there are so many things that rolls the eyes in this joke of a movie. I forgot that the movie was a joke right when they meet that nutter that never stops laughing. And, what was with the sheriff who was like BBT in Sling Blade?!

For a comedy, the cast should be recast. I'll go first.

I nominate Anna Faris as Liz.

Honestly, it was the real estate agents cheesy laugh and mother talking about putting in a lawn so they could play croquette that hooked me in the movie. This movie shouldn't be taken seriously, it was pretty clearly meant to be funny.
