The "brothers" Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung were fantastic in Wong Kar Wai's "As tears go by". So I was looking forward to see "Gong Wu" in Berlin 2005. And I was so disappointed. Full of sterertypes, too much slowmo. The 80ies and even the 90ies. are over! The ending-twist was predictable but well done. That's all. What a pity.

They were great in that one all right. I didn't have huge expectations for this film and thus wasn't disappointed but rather pleasantly entertained. Lau and Cheung actually were probably the biggest visual delight with their extremely slick look and hairdos.
