I did a marathon with The Fountain.

I did a marathon with Steven Spielbergs Always, What Dreams May Come, Ghost, and The Fountain titled When Love Goes Beyond Death. You guys can check out the marathon on my blog.

The Fountain is one of those films where there is no middle ground to it. By that I mean you either love this movie or completely despise it. It's visually stunning, heartfelt, and acted to perfection but some people may be put off by what the movie is trying to say. It's not a movie that explains everything to you and requires the viewer to actually take it in and think. I fear many people these days don't like doing that when watching a movie like this but I hope that someday Aronofsky releases his 4 hour cut of this film so we can see what he originally intended for this movie. The Fountain is one of the most underrated films of the last 10 years and it's a shame because it's actually quite good. Hugh Jackman gives a wonderful performance here as well as Rachael Weisz.
