Describe the score in three words

I love this film. The imagery is beautiful, the story of love lost deeply resonates with me.

But in the end, it's the score. I cannot put it into words. The music tells the story just as the imagery does.

If by "outstanding" you mean "dreary", I'm forced to agree.

More words/statements to describe the score:

Deeply affecting
transcendent
Melancholy

Please continue the list!

Glum
Depressing
Suicidal

:D

I think 'suicidal' is a bit strong, but to each their own.

How about:
Dismal (at first)
Majestic (throughout)
Triumphant (climax and culmination)

I think we watched a different movie and, more importantly, listened to an entirely different score. The music was certainly heavy and sad in places but it was more uplifting than anything.
