There’s a lot of symbolism related to the things that the 3 storylines in THE FOUNTAIN have in common. You know what they don't have in common? Pacing. They all have different pacing, which killed the flow of the plot. The one that takes place in the past is boring and clichéd; the other two are emotional but repetitive. Luckily, the whole movie is well-directed (I don’t mean just the visual style) and acted.

Hay mucho simbolismo relacionado con las cosas que las 3 historias en LA FUENTE DE LA VIDA tienen en común. ¿Saben lo que no tienen en común? El ritmo. Todas tienen ritmo distinto, lo que mató el flujo de la trama. La que transcurre en el pasado es aburrida y cliché; las otras dos son emotivas pero repetitivas. Por suerte, toda la película está bien dirigida (no me refiero solo al estilo visual) y actuada.

C'è molto mucho simbolismo collegato alle cose che le 3 storie in L'ALBERO DELLA VITA hanno in comune. Sapete che cosa non hanno in comune? Il ritmo. Tutte e 3 hanno un ritmo diverso, cui ha ucciso il flusso della trama. Quella che ha luogo nel passato è noiosa e cliché; le altre due sono emotive ma ripetitive. Per fortuna, tutto il film è ben fatto (non parlo solo sullo stile visuale) e recitato.
