The first 15 minutes, in my opinion,

The first 15 minutes, in my opinion, was on par with the gunfight in Heat. It was unbelievable.

Yep, sure was! The thing that bothered me was that after 800 rounds being shot, only one guy died, and you don't see any bullet holes. I don't know where everyone got there marksmanship, but they need to re-take the test.

Seriously it was ridiculous...you would think they were all stormtroopers from Star Wars out there or something...;-)

I almost stopped watching after that part. LOL

100% agreed. That's what kept me glued to the screen. Even during that first shoot-out everyone watching this realizes how unrealistic the scenes will be from here on out. But we all also recognize the fact that all the following shoot-outs/action sequences will be stylized to the max in the vein of Heat but will not be as realistic...which in my opinion is not that important when it comes to Hong Kong action flicks. I personally appreciate the style in their action sequences and am not so bothered by a lack of realism (unless the lack of realism is overwhelming to the story and action itself) whereas I find shoot-em-up unrealistic movies like Face/Off an abomination on the action genre. Just my opinion though.

I fully disagree: the opening scene is laughable how people at 10 meter distance shoot hundreds of bullets keeping missing each other. Also the whole acting was awful: people that stands in the street waiting to be shot just to "aim" (and still missing). not to mention the Kalashnikov at the window that, obviosuly, did nothing at all.
