I like the shootouts but I also don't like them

I appreciate the realistic aspect they had going, a lot of shots fired but quite a lot of shots went clear, happens all the time in real life shootouts. But I think the problem is that it all feels inconsequential after a while, for the opening shootout I had no problem, but then after the 4th shootouts I became quite annoyed.

The shootout in the hallway when the police ask those two to stop and turn around was very annoying, showing both officers getting hit in the Kevlar would have broken the pattern that would later become annoying, I had no problem buying it but it wasn't until the shootout near the end, when most of the bad guys get killed in that hallway, did I become annoyed. Mainly because this was one of the most intense parts in the movie, and no officers were hit.

I don't want to see someone die, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone get hit so I don't have to overlook the shootouts.

It became incredibly irritating when the last henchmen was trying to get to Richie Ren at the elevator, and Nick Cheung shows up, literally 5 feet behind him, and MISSES CLEAR ON, this wouldn't bother me, BUT HE SHOOTS THE GUY 10 SECONDS LATER, I mean why not just have him be shot immediatly, then he can throw the grenade and still limp away to be shot later on.

I think it was a nice change of pace to show a shootout that was realistic, but I think it would have been more immersive to switch it up a few times

Good movie, just needed to show people getting hit a little bit more, not alot, just a bit more
