The Show is better than the Movie.

Lets face it "Back at the Barnyard" is superior than "Barnyard" was. Which usually is rare since I can't immediately remember a time when a TV adaptation surpasses it's Film predecessor. However the movie isn't bad at all it was just mild on every aspect except the humour which was decent. "Back at the Barnyard" does have its mediocre episodes, but that can be expected with most shows. Overally "Back at the Barnyard" is a great show with minor problems. I especially enjoyed the episode when they basically had a "Space Chimps" cameo, but not really, probably for copyright reasons. The show looked doomed at first since it was very mediocre like the movie in the first season. I must admit that much and I was surprised that it was picked up for a second season and I'm happy it was. The second season completely turned the show around with some great original bits and solid humour. It's a show that keeps getting better and thats why its getting picked up for a 3rd season.

Also, Chris Hardwick is far better as the voice of Otis than Kevin James. Now I do like Kevin James, but he was terribly miscast as the voice of Otis. His humor comes off as incredibly forced and unnatural, while Hardwick is incredible and spontaneous, giving the character such depth and personality. Also, the show's Abby is much better than the movie's.
