Please use your clout and ask the politicians........
This is for any of the fine commentators on MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS and Jon Stewart, Chris Matthews, Anderson Cooper, Keith Olbermann, and everyone else
Please ask any of those politicians who want to get rid of or tamper with the current Social Security System for the poor people like me who now get social security, ask them this.
Do these same politicians also want to do away with or change or cut their "Retirement Pension Funds System", too?
I understand that we the tax payers still pay their retirement pension funds for all these “fat cat” politicians, even the likes of retired Newt Gingrigh and that politician who was on "Dancing with the Stars", can't think of his name, whom I’m led to understand had left office under a dark cloud, or anyone under any cloud, weather it be fluffy whte or whatever.. It just is’nt fair, it’s the same old story, giving the 1% rich guys a tax break and having the poor people pay for it. Even I understand what’s happening, it’s not right.
If I was a “cynic” I’d wonder how much these office holders were getting ”under the table” from the “fat cat” business leaders. But no, I can’t believe guys like Mitch “Grandma” McConnell or “The Tan Man”, or anyone else in Congress would do something like that. But still there has to be some reason why this “slashing” of the social security thing for the poor is happening, although I can’t imagine why.
The Republicans keep saying that the “Public” wants this or that to happen, in a feeble attempt to justify their ill-intentioned platform. But take it from me, we the people are too busy just trying to get by, just living, to understand what’s going on in Washington. That’s why we put you people in office to help us, by doing what’s right for the people who need it, and for the one’s who really need it most.
Also, remember that some politicans may enter office “as a poor man”, although not many of course, but, it seems like all of them leave office millionaires or close too it, which is fine and deservedly so in some cases. But please “spread it around” by making good decisions while in office for everyone, but mostly for the people who need it.most.
My monthly SSI amounts to probably what politicians give out for their "tip money" each month, assuming they ever give anyone a tip.
I know that my current situation is the result of what I did or more importantly what I did’nt do to reach this point in my life and that I’m not as clever as the politicians or you commentators, but, still I’m wondering and scared as to what’s going to happen in the near future.
So in parting, as TV’s “Dr. Frasier Crane“ would say: “I’m listening”. Thanks
