When Adam and Bro met in the first episode of the second season he told Bro he is straight. He even flirted with Britt. Why did he do this, because in the first season and the rest of the second and third season he's gay.
shareAdam is not openly gay in the first season, he's just secretly in love with Toby, which is never said, if I remember correctly. He's also flirting with girls in the first season.

In the first season Adam is 100% straight but by season three he's actually bi-sexual. My guess is that the original actor playing Adam didn't want to do gay love scenes but Jon Fleming (the current Adam) is okay with that.. So the writers just changed it.
